Does the required distribution from an IRA considered income ? I am trying to determine if my daughter (whom I live with) can claim me as her dependent.

She pays for everything except my medical which I pay for with Social Security.

Yes it counts.   Is the IRA RMD more than 4,700?  Then she can't claim you.
