In 2020, I put $3200 into roth and then realized I hit the cap so I did recharacterization to traditional, the total amount (plus gain) is $3500. Then I contributed another $2800 to traditional and moved all amount $6300 to roth. Now I followed all steps, imported 1099-r and filled 8606. My question is that when I check 1040, 4a IRA distributions shows the amount is $9800. I believe it counts $3500 twice. Is this correct? If not, how can I correct?
