I have Turbo Tax Deluxe installed from a CD on a Windows 11 laptop. I reached the point where I finished entering my 1099-R form (under Wages & Income) and I expected to be asked to fill out my 1099-SSA form (as I have done in years past). But instead it went to a page in Turbo Tax with Federal Taxes in white at the top and below 'Wages&Income" in gray. I clicked on that, it returned me Your 2022 Income Summary so I scrolled down to Retirement Plans and Social Security. In The Social Security section if I click on Update (in gray) it sends to the same page as indicated above. I tried to double click on "update" but same things happens back to that page. I double clicked on the "$0" (in gray) again it returns me to the same blank page in Turbo tax. I must not be the only one having this problem?? Am I? Sounds like others have experienced it too. Thanks for you help.. who ever and where ever you are. 🙂

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.
That is what I have been doing.... Federal Taxes, Wages and Income, Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA-1099,RRB-1099) - There is a gray rectangle which says "update" inside the triangle (which is strange because I haven't entered anything). When I click on that "rectangle button" it immediately takes me to a blank page which reads (at the top) PERSONAL INFO - FEDERAL TAXES - etc. etc. Below those headings is a greyed out button that reads "Wages & Income" Below that is just a blank white page. So I click on "Wages & Income".... scroll down to "Retirement Plans and Social Security" then go to the line with "Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099" click on "update" which immediately takes me to the page I was just at?? and I start all over again. So that suggestion doesn't work. But thanks for trying.
Try the following.
Save your tax return.
Shut down TTX
Check for any waiting Windows OS updates, download and install any updates waiting for installation.
Reboot .......whether or not you had Windows updates to install
Restart TTX and try again.
Thanks, I did reboot windows (no update was waiting) and restarted TTX but same problem. Finally I did this. I just continued on in TTX for a period of time then I went and clicked on Forms (top of page). Then I found Social Security from the list of the left side of page... clicked on that and it appeared on the page. I manually entered my figures.. clicked on Save and everything was OK. ??? I don't think that form was available until I continued on to "Deductions & Credits" but I could be wrong. I appreciate the replies/suggestions I received from the group.
