Maybe......but we do not know what you mean by a "small" pension. It has nothing to do with your age.
You need to file a federal return if half your Social Security plus your other income is $25,000 when filing single or head of household, or $32,000 when filing married filing jointly, $0 if you are filing married filing separately.

You may owe taxes on your Social Security.
As @xmasbaby0 stated, your age has nothing to do with it.
For people who get Social Security, about 40% will pay taxes on a portion of it.
