Can I enter my dental insurance premiums that were taken out of my qualified retirement pension plan under additional medical insurance premiums?

Yes, you  can include your dental insurance premiums as medical expenses on your tax return if they were paid with after-tax dollars. Since these premiums were taken from your qualified retirement pension plan, they likely qualify To claim them, you need to itemize your deductions on Schedule A, and only the amount that exceeds 7.5% of your adjusted gross income is deductible.
