Box 5 on 1099-R from OPM

TT 2025 refuses to accept the amount of Box 5 that represented health insurance premiums. I've answered the question and whenever I revisit this 1099-R, it says (again) that I need to enter an amount. Apparently this was a problem last year too. I'm using the desktop version.

To correct the Box 5 error when inputting your OPM Form 1099-R, it will be best to delete it and re-enter.

Since you are using the Desktop version, click on the Form 1099-R, then select Delete Form at the bottom left of the screen.

    1. Next, click on Step-by-Step to return to the Wages & Income section
    2. Select IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
    3. Select + Add another 1099-R and re-enter the 1099-R information manually, avoiding the import option
    4. Ensure you select the Office of Personnel Management (CSA 1099-R) option when asked, "Who gave you a 1099-R?"
