2023 Ira deposit made after 04/15/2024 how can I fix it so it will show as a 2023 contribution

You cannot fix it.  The contribution has to be reported on your 2024 tax return that is filed next year.

Contributions for the prior year MUST be made before the due date, not counting extensions.  For most people that was April 15, 2024.  For Massachusetts, it was April 17, and if you are living overseas, the due date is June 15.   Unless you are living overseas, a contribution made on 4/24 is a 2024 contribution only.

Since a contribution made on 4/24/2024 can only be a contribution for 2024 and cannot be a contribution for 2023, if you filed a 2023 tax return showing a contribution for 2023 that you did not make, you must amend your 2023 tax return to remove the contribution.
