1099r retirement distributions

Scott receives a pension check each month Taxes are taken out of this check. where the 1099-r form i filled out looks like a distribution form only. Federal withheld over 6,300.00 where do I put this to get credit for taxes paid. It was not on that form.

You enter the distribution by typing  the words retirement income into the Find Box on the upper right.  

Click Enter then the Jump To.  

t is a distribution form but it should show Federal Tax withheld in Box 4.  If it does not, you should call the issuer to ask about it before entering it.

The IRS receives a copy of this form and may deny the withholding if it is not on the form.
