I HAVE A 1099 R FROM MY DECEASED FATHER, I HAVE INPUTTED IT ON MY RETURN AND IT IS NOT SHOWING UP AS INCOME. IT HAS BOX 2 AS TAXABLE AMOUNT, SAME AS DISTRIBUTION????

    Did you indicate that you rolled the money over into another retirement account. Edit the 1099R and scroll through the questions.  There will be a question that asks what you did with the money. Check it to see if you indicated you had rolled it into another retirement account. This should be marked did something else with it.

    THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING!! IT WASN'T THE WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE MONEY QUESTION, IT WAS HOW OLD WAS THE PERSON. SMH THANKS AGAIN!! AT LEAST IT MADE ME LOOK BACK AND FIND OUT THE ISSUE.

    maybe your question has been answered, but whose social security number was on that form?  if it is your father's why are you putting it on your tax return?
