Why is a distribution marked G (rollover) showing as taxable on my 1040?

    Be sure to answer the follow up questions.  For example, did you roll it from a Traditional plan to a Roth?  If so, it's taxable.

    Review your 1040 form to check if the distribution is reported as taxable income. 

    The full distribution amount will be included on Form 1040 line 4a and the taxable amount is reported on line 4b.

     

    To preview your 1040:

    1. Select Tax Tools then Tools from the left menu.
    2. Select View Tax Summary
    3. From the left menu select Preview my 1040.
