Unpaid internships

I am currently in an unpaid internship that is part of my educational requirements before I can take the exam to become a certified dietitian. I am not earning a degree, but I still have to pay for tuition, book fees, and many other accumulated costs. Can I claim this internship as an educational expense?

I assume that you already have your batchelor’s degree so you are not eligible for American Opportunity Credit and the expenses you mentioned are not qualified education expenses for the Lifetime Learning Credit.
