I was claimed as a dependent in 2018 tax year, however in 2019 I filed as independent.
The issue I’m worried about is I filed my 2019 taxes after the first wave of stimulus checks went out.
Will I still get a stimulus check? Do I need to do anything extra in order to receive it?

@KhalilRomero - you should be fine..... was your 2019 tax return PROCESSED? ("accepted" doesn't mean much)
the stimulus check would come a few weeks after the 2019 tax refund is issued based on what I see from other posts.
Check the IRS website for status of the stimulus payment and update your bank information if necessary.
AGI is line 7 on your 2018 return and line 8B on your 2019 return. Refund is line 21a of the 2019 tax return. and line 20a for 2018

@NCperson Thank you for your response! I see it hasn’t changed from accepted to processed just yet. And whenever I check the IRS portal is says “Payment status not available” but I’ll keep checking.
