Schedule E

Do I file a schedule E for rental property that was sold in Nov 2019 for the real estate taxes paid and interest paid on the mortgage.  There were no tenants during 2019.

    Regardless of tenants being present, you will need to report this on Schedule E in order to for the appropriate forms regarding the sale to be completed. Here's how to get started:

     

    1) Search sale of rental property in TurboTax.

     

    2) Click the Jump to link, and follow the guided interview.
