Hi,
My spouse is military and we checked the "Active duty military" box after putting in his W-2. However, when we go to checkout TurboxTax is trying to charge us $119 for the Premium Federal filing. There is no option to remove this like they have provided on their support page at the checkout. We've even gone back to review his W-2 and the box is checked for active duty!

When entering his personal information in the My Info section make sure that you have indicated he is active military. Additionally, only enlisted pay grades are eligible for the TurboTax military discount and you cannot be using one of the TurboTax Live online editions.
Assuming that the W-2 you entered was a military W-2 and you checked the box after the W-2 entry, Active military duty, on the screen for Uncommon situations.
If all the above was done and you are still not seeing the discount when you are in the File section of the program you will need to contact TurboTax support to get this corrected.
