Active duty and national guard wages

My W-2 has active duty and national guard pay on it, do i check the box for Active duty military under uncommon situations

As long as you indicated in the Personal Interview that you served in the U.S. military in 2016, you can either check this box it or leave it unchecked. It won't make any difference on your tax return 

The program will ask all the necessary military-related interview questions, though in a different order.
