TurboTax is not letting me answer the question:  Check here if your main home and your spouse's if filing a joint return, was in the US for more than half o 2025.

Yes, we lived in the US, but I can't answer this on the form - nor do I remember TurboTax asking me about this.

Based on multiple reports from TurboTax users:

    1. TurboTax does not always present a question about whether your main home was in the U.S. for more than half of 2025.
    2. The checkbox on Form 1040‑SR cannot be manually checked in many cases.
    3. The IRS added this checkbox for 2025 returns to help determine eligibility for certain credits, especially the Earned Income Credit.
    4. If you are not claiming EIC, TurboTax may simply leave the box blank because it doesn’t affect your return.
