Once you enter the 1099 Form in Turbo Tax, the capital gains distributions will be reported on Schedule D if you are required to file this schedule. If you are NOT required to file it, then this income will be reported on line 13 of Form 1040 or line 10 on Form 1040A. If you dont have any amounts reported in box 2c and 2d of 1099DIV and the capital gains distributions are your only capital gains and losses, you may not have to file Schedule D.

Please refer to the following FAQ and click on "Turbo Tax online instructions" for instructions on how to enter your 1099DIV Form. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4905155
