On rental property. I am on this section where it asked
Should (my name) be treated as part of a combined business?
I can not unclick the round button that says this business is independent of any other activity. (it is not. I like it combined with my other property)
It is part of another rental property that I already reported on the previous screen.
It says above it that if the business havent been entered yet, report this as its own business & then select this business later when your enter the related business. Like I said I had already entered the business in the previous screen. This is the second property.
Please help
Preparing my own taxes is getting more complicated each year

Did you report the other property as an independent business? If not, return to that property and change your selection. Then edit the second property to see if you can now combine the two.
Sorry, It took me a while to get back with you.
I have always reported the 2 condo as one business. The first few screens I reported as a combine business.
The screen says select the enterprise this property belong to. So I picked the other property that I want it to be combined as one. a few screens later it asked (should the enterprise 1 be treated as part of a combined business) The circle that says this business is independent of any other activities was selected. I can not deselect it. Not sure what to do.
Thanks
Janet
You may need to reset the questions regarding QBI Safe Harbor that appear after you click "Done with Rental Property" from the Rental Summary page.
On the page "Let's see if you're eligible for the QBI safe harbor," there are options for No, Yes (this property only), and Yes, for an enterprise. While troubleshooting this section, you might check "No" until you are sure you can change the other choices. Then see if this allows you to link the two properties as an enterprise.
This is easier if you are using TurboTax for Desktop and can access the forms using Forms Mode.
If you are unable to resolve this issue, consider sending us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, please follow these instructions:
In TurboTax Online, open your return, go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
If we're able to determine a course of action, we'll reply here and provide you with a resolution.
If you are using TurboTax for Desktop, go to Online in the top menu, then choose "Send Tax File to Agent." On a Mac computer, choose File >> Share or Help >> Send to Agent.
