Depreciation on rental property

To enter information for depreciation on a rental property:

  • Log in to your return
  • Click on Federal Taxes
  • Click on Wages and Income
  • Click the button beside your rental property
  • Continue through screens
  • When you get to the Rental and Royalty Summary, click Edit beside your rental property.
  • You will see the Rental Summary for your rental property. 
  • In the Assets/Depreciation section, click the button (See Screenshot below)
  • TurboTax will lead you through the entry process.
