Should MO-NRI (Missouri non-resident) filing rental income be entering the GROSS income from the rental or the net income from the rental?

It doesnt make sense to enter the gross income when I actually lost money on the rental.

You are correct- you will want to enter the net (negative income) for the Missouri Tax return.  See below for why you must file even if you know that you will not owe tax.
