Received RSUs in 2020 in my employer stock. When I go thru federal review, it says "1099B Worksheet line 25 column c cannot be later than date sold." Inputs are correct

The discrepancy seems to be in the "Employee Stock Transaction Worksheet". TurboTax does not populate Line 2 ("Date shares sold") automatically. Once I went into that form and used "Override" (in Edit menu) to enter in the Date Sold on Line 2, the error was resolved for Line 25 Box C.

TurboTax is not really clear what it's looking for when it states the error. Line 25 Box C is actually "Date Vested"; I was assuming it was asking me to input the "Date Sold" in the field when the error was raised (which is incorrect).

It depends.  The date sold does need to be entered as well as the vesting date so it makes sense the error was cleared once the date sold was entered. It's unclear if the selling price was entered during the entry process before the error occurred.

Thank you for the answer it worked for me to file my 2023 return. However, I don't understand why TurboTax is not fixing such bugs for years and force users to look at the forums to solve bugs? We are paying 100% money to buy software and we expect a bug free software. Sometimes it is tough but when you know a bug for years, you must fix it. Don't give your happy customers a reason to move out.
