Re: how to report a rental fire

I have owned the property since 1988 this is our first fire. I know what I paid for the property then and have made several improvements since then. I have logged all expenditures since I purchased the building. Fire occurred 2/2019 and has been empty since due to continued repairs. Not sure how to answer the questions as asked by Turbo Tax.
