I own a duplex and live in one of the units. I rent my unit for short stays. Is my percentage of the use ( ( 365 - [days of occasional renting] ) / ( 365 * 2 ) * 100 )?
I live in one of two apartments in a duplex that I own. I also rent my apartment, on occasion, for part of the year, completely furnished. When reporting the percentage of my use of the building, I plan to use this formula:
( 365 - [days of occasional renting] ) / ( 365 * 2 ) * 100
Does this sound reasonable assuming both units are of equal size?

Yes, your calculation seems accurate to me.
