I'm doing a projection for 2017. I understand Turbotax can't, but what partnership losses will be carried from '16 to '17. The rental losses aren't passive.

I have some partnership income allocations for businesses and several rental losses where I'm active and I'm a real estate professional (so no passive losses). I assume the rental losses can be carried forward since I have a large negative taxable income (i.e. I couldn't use the losses in 2016). I'm trying to do a projection for 2017 and don't know what losses, if any, will be carried forward to 2017.

Did you have an NOL  in 2016?   Was the amount on line 43 of the form 1040 negative ?
