Normally, if you are paid on a W-2, this type of expense would be reported on Form 2106 as an Employee Business Expense. However, this deduction has been suspended for Federal returns from 2018 through 2025 due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in 2017.
You can still enter the information on the Federal return though because certain states are still allowing the deduction.
If you are self-employed, the expense can be entered as a business expense.
