Hi,
I live in Nevada, and I have entered my rental property in the federal income. Now, How do I enter this income in Illinois. walking through the State interview in the Turbo tax home and business, I got the following options:
As I am going through the interview I found the following:
Divident income
Business income and losses
Capital gain and loss
Rent, loyolty, K-1 income
unemployment compensation
I believe that all items have nothing to do with Illinois, except the Rent, loyolty, K-1 income. Correct me if I am wrong. I was not a resident of Illinois at any time during the 2023 year. Now, should I put the net income in the Rent, loyolty, K-1 income category. the net is income minus the expenses, or ?
Let me know, I appreciate your patience with me.

Yes, allocate your Illinois sourced rental income in the Illinois non-resident state tax return. TurboTax carries the amount over from your Federal return. If you are asked about other income categories that are not Illinois sourced, then enter zero for that category and continue with interview.
