How can I set up a new asset for a rental property and NOT use Special depreciation for the first year? (where is the opt out click?)

Go to Forms mode and find the depreciation worksheet under Forms in my return. You will be able to edit your assets directly on the forms so that special depreciation will not be used. Click Forms in the top right of TurboTax to go to Forms mode.
