Donation of author's royalties

My wife wrote a book published by a nonprofit. She wants to donate royalties back to the nonprofit. They have previously used a contract by which the author donated the intellectual property and all royalties. Can this be handled by regular charitable deduction methods, or are there any special considerations?

No, there is no special arrangement. She will be paid for her work and can donate it back and take the deduction on Schedule A.
