Do I need to file in my non-resident state if I did not make money on my rental property in that state?

We live in Texas but own rental property in California.  We did not make any money on this rental property.  Do I still need to file?

If you had any INCOME (collected from rent) you must file a California nonresident tax return to show your income and expenses, even if there was a net loss.
