All my 1099-B data from TD Ameritrade transferred over as 'stocks' when 99% are options. And none of them checked the box that "I purchased them". Is it really necessary for me to go thru and fix all 220 of these entries? It takes about 2 minutes a trade to fix on the online version. Very frustrating.

option trades are reported just like stock trades to form 8949. they're treated as capital gain or loss so they flow from 8949 to schedule d.
as an alternative - remove the import. then just enter summary totals for each type a,b,c,d,e,f
then you complete form 8453 and mail it with the 1099-B following the 8453 instructions
If you are going to trade stocks and options,
you should be aware that covered transactions without adjustments do not require Form 8949.
Therefore, no mailing is necessary.
use the "enter a summary" option to put your numbers on Schedule D Line 1a or Line 8a.
