Turbo Tax 2020
RE Turbotax 2020
In 2020 I will have capital gains from the sale of my primary /only residence. Since I am single, I am pointed to the $250,000 exclusion. However, the sale is mandatory because of health reasons. In preparing my 2020 Turbo Tax I am concerned that Trumbo Tax will calculate the exclusion at $250,000 because I am single and no not allow me to select the higher exclusion amount of $500,000 because of exceptions identified in IRS Publication 523.
My specific question is does Turbotax allow for the condition that I stated f for 2019?

I looked at pub 523 and didn't see where it says you can get a 500,000 exclusion for Single. Exactly where? What page? Are you divorced or widowed?
