after an hour on the phone the helper named "Tequila" informed me that apparently TurboTax does not see the need to finish all forms before Tax season and that for my almost $300 I can print out the missing form off the IRS website fill it out myself and mail my taxes in or wait until the 3rd of next month when they will fill it out for me.

the whole point of turbotax is too simplify the process. they dropped the ball on that this year.they are not concerned about loses or this would of been fixed by now. as far as customer service: yes they answer the phone and will talk to you. NO ONE had answers.

This has been incredibly frustrating. The form is available on the IRS website, and many other tax programs. I waited a couple of weeks until 2/10 as I was told... then they moved it to 3/3 (no thanks). I took the advice of some of the people on the forum and created a TaxAct account, spent an hour inputting our stuff, filed and my federal return was already accepted (all within three hours). The numbers were identical to TurboTax. I spent about $80 for the TaxAct program I needed for my specific return. Hoping that TurboTax will process my refund due to this issue on their part (not holding my breath though because, for the first time in my life, I threw away the receipt so I'm assuming they won't process my refund for the product). Oh well, $55 gone, but getting my federal refund a month sooner will help with my "stupid tax" for trusting a product I have used for 10 years...

I have completed this weeks ago except for the 839 form. its already paid for so I,m riding this out. they need to fix this before 3/3. if they don,t im gone from turbotax forever.

I had already paid Turbotax as well, I called and asked for a refund(they did give me the refund). It was actually cheaper for me to file with HR Block and the IRS has already accepted my return.

Form 8839, Qualified Adoption Expenses for tax year 2021 is estimated to be finalized and available in TurboTax on 03/03/2022

Yeah, for each of the experts just referring us to TT page with form availability dates, you have to know that these responses are trash and pointless. TT messed up by delaying this form repeatedly. These "expert" answers are not helping anyone.

I want to know this as well, if I hadn't already paid I would use other means to file. I can't get any help ankles I pay for it. Really disgusted

I've been with TurboTax for I don't know how many years it's crazy..

But I took the plunge and I had everything ready to file with TurboTax but I went with TaxAct We redid it all filed in both my returns are accepted already by the federal and state.. And that's with claiming the adoption credit which I got the full credit value of..

They gave me a link to REQUEST a refund and that was last week and it's still pending. Also I went to H&R Block, filed and was accepted by the IRS in 2 minutes. I hope that they refund my money back being that this was no fault of ours and it was TT fault due to them not having this form submitted to the IRS for approval beforehand. Ughhh it's so frustrating being that I always file with TT and really didn't want to take my info elsewhere!!

Yes I've been with TurboTax forever but I got sick and tired of the mistakes they made last year and now I switched to TaxAct and my return was accepted within 45 minutes from the federal and the State the next day.

TT, you’re going to start losing business because this is absurd. If other avenues have the form ready to go and you don’t, they’re going to be sought out and used. The date has changed multiple times now, now backed up to March 3rd. If it’s not up by Sunday, you’re about to lose another 10+ year customer, to another provider that has it together.

I switched to TaxAct, It was a pain to get everything moved over and I had already paid TurboTax so I am having to wait for a refund. You would think with people asking for refunds and calling in they would get the form out. They lost us as customer.

I'm in the process of moving everything over to tax act.. it is a pain but I don't want to wait for turbo tax to get it their stuff together

I gave Turbo/ Intuit my good byes the other day There's nothing I hate more than paying for service/ product before I get the service. Tuit took the money out of my account 2 weeks ago, had they told me there was a hold up with certain forms I would have filed later. This company is getting worst. Good riddance Turbo.
