Did you actually prepare and file using the desktop Premier software?

IF so, the Online software doesn't know that you filed it there.. two entirely different packages.

Yes I prepared it with Premier and thought I had submitted it but when I go to Premier and click to check on status it says nothing filed yet"  Then when I try to file again it gives me a dialog box message stating that I am trying to submit a second time - a classic circular problem...

You did not answer the Desktop vs Online Question.

TTX prep Software can be run either by  logging in thru a browser window, or just starting up the software installed on your computer.  There is Premier Online software and Premier Desktop software.

You cannot E-file in one system,  and check your status in the other....they are entirely different ways to prepare and e-file.

You need to  check your e-file status for the exact same file, using  the same Online or Desktop system you  "supposedly" e-filed from.

Desktop also offers the person the capability to prepare several files...and for that you cannot e-file one of the files, and attempt to check it 's status from another file.

(and if filing MFJ, the SSN must be the first person listed on the tax return...that may not be "you")

I do not use the On_line version of TT.  I order and install the software on my computer use it, submit it and check it via that application on my computer.  First time I have had a problem in all the years 15???? that I have used it.

OK, So after you open the file you think you e-filed...and go to the upper left corner of the screen and click on:
<File
<<Electronic Filing
<<<<Show Electronic Filing Status History

does that only show your recent re-attempts to efile?
_______________
IF it does not show your original e-file in its history,   then maybe you have a different file that was actually e-filed.....search your hard drive for all files ending in ".tax2018" and see if one is in there that is not showing on your start-up screen  (don't use the ones that start with a ~squiggle, those are emergency backups)
