Contacted customer service today via live chat. Clearly this is still an ongoing issue for MD filers. The rep tried to help me delete form 8582 but that didn't work. But he did give me a 20% discount so that helps. Now we wait...

If this form doesn't have anything to do with most of us....Why is it affecting us? I have been with you all for years and I truly thinking about finding someone else. Most of us need our money right now. Please get it together!!!!

I need to file my finished federal and state taxes yesterday!!! I need my refund ASAP. I will never use Turbo Tax again. I feel like we're being held hostage by your incompetence! I've used TT since 2004. This is totally unacceptable. I want my money back. Where is the response to these irate customers. You're definitely losing $$$ TT.

I called Turbotax Help desk on Feb 6th, 2022 and they told me federal form 8582 has been updated by IRS. The agent believed Turbotax will inturn update their software by the end of the week, but of course couldn't be certain.

I spoke to a TT rep today. They told me that IRS has to first update form 8582, and that this will occur on or about March 17th! But I would check weekly and hope for the best.

February 8th and this issue is STILL not fixed! I am canceling and going to another service to file. This is unacceptable Turbotax!

I also having the same issues, been waiting since last week for Turbotax to fix this issue. I don't understand why this form even pops up when I do not need or use it?

8+ years with turbo tax and NEVER had a issue!! I have had this issue since trying to file the week of jan 20th tried all weeked and into the next week thinking mabey its something i clicked deleted started over and everything. I have been calling customer service since January 29th about this issue and have been given all different excuses. First blame state of maryland i call them its not a state form its a federal form and i need to call tt back. So i do and then they say oh no its not a state issue its a issue with TT try in a couple days…. soooo i do give it a few days i call back and now get, try on February 3rd we do updates on thursday refresh and clear cache and try again….. sooo February 3rd i do that and with no suprise nothing different… sooo i call back and now get oh we promise by Thursday February 10th it will be fixed its tons of people in maryland facing this issues!!! For 8+ years i have NEVER had to fill out a 8582 i dont rent i dont own a home im only 25years old trying to file earned income and child tax credit!! I have been doing my taxes here since i was 16 and this year all of these people have this issues and you want us all to wait well for me going on three weeks with this issue! I cant make any promises after Thursday that i will be filling with TT anymore especially if the issues is not fixed!! And there are plenty of unhappy customers im sure that would agree!! This seems like a glitch in the system if you ask me! But i think we all deserve some good discounts on our filing fees for even waiting on this!!
