Need to know when 2026 Turbotax Desktop open up so I can begin filing the taxes.

I think you can sign up for the Advantage plan to pre order next year

No sorry. We are just volunteers in this public user forum. Don’t know when the Advantage cutoff is. If you signed up on there it might be too late for 2026 and now for 2027. But 2026 Desktop program should come out next week or 2.

Even so, sometimes the very earliest version of TTX don’t have all the updates yet. Occasionally not even the major form changes for the new filing year. Commonly, the proper marginal tax rate cutoffs take until mid-Dec or early January to get implemented. So always take the early version results with a grain of salt.

Keep updating the software once a week on Fridays, and never file before the end of January when ‘most” critical form updates and early bugs have been finalized, fixed, and incorporated in the software. Mid-to-late Feb or even March is safer.
