Why does the program require me to send in my 1099's by mail?  I have no uncovered sales but do have some inherited assets that were sold.

Thanks

Are you using TurboTax Desktop?  Have you uploaded IRS form 1099-B information from your broker into TurboTax Desktop?

TurboTax Desktop requires that uploaded 1099-B information is mailed to the IRS.

I am using the Turbo tax program I purchased and then downloaded onto my Mac.  Is that a desktop program?  I have manually entered all of the 1099 information.  I did not download or import any of it.

Thanks

That is a desktop program.   Did you enter transactions by sales section summary or individually?

Mailing in 1099-Bs
