I received payment for being a volunteer patient for the COVID19 Vaccine Research Study. I received 1099-MISC form and the amount was put in in the Misc. income. TurboTax review section is asking me to fill out Schedule C as if I owned the research lab that did the study. My name and SSN are entered as the proprietor and I cannot change or remove this as wells as other information it is asking in the form. Is this an error and how do I get by this so I can file the my taxes?

To report other income that is not a business:

Federal Taxes -> Wages & Income -> I'll choose what I work on -> scroll to the bottom and under Less Common Income select Start (or Update) for Miscellaneous Income.... You'll find all sorts of other income categories in there. If none of those shown fit the bill then pick Other reportable income and you can enter your own description(s) and amount(s).
