We were expecting $3900 (my wife and I + 3 kids) but received $2900. I'm grateful for that but would like the correct amount. Not sure who to contact.

For security reasons, the IRS plans to mail a letter about the economic impact payment to the taxpayer’s last known address within 15 days after the payment is paid. The letter will provide information on how the payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the payment.

Received ours yesterday and it didn’t account for my son who was born last September. 2019 taxes were filed in March prior to the stimulus budget being passed too. IRS doesn’t have any current info on how this is to be resolved down the road.

We are married filing jointly with 1 dependent that was born in November 2019. We filed our 2019 return and already received our refund. We do not surpass the income threshold. However we only received $2400 instead of the $2900. Why didn’t we receive our $500 for our dependent?

I only received 2200. IRS forgot one dependent that was claimed on my 2019 taxes. Looks like multiple people are experiencing the same issue.

We received our stimulus money today however we were not given $500.00 for our 15 year old daughter. We only received the money for my husband and myself. Can you please let me know whom I need to contact to resolve this matter.

I filed taxes jointly with my wife, we are below the income limit, but only received $1200.

We are married, filed jointly in 2019. We made $94k as AGI. Claimed 3 dependents ages 13, 11, and 6. We received 2299. Not $2400 and definitely not the $3900 we are entitled to. Who do we call about this or is it supposed to be sent? Our 2019 were processed and a refund issued in February.

I'm also missing money for my dependent. I woke up this morning with 1200 expecting 1700. I made 20,000 for 2019. I'm the only one with my daughters social security information, and shes only two. so i meet all the stipulations for the 500 extra per child.

I believe I’m in the situation as most.  I filed taxes for 2019, and have already received my refund.  However, my stimulus check (which I received today) did not reflect my 2019 taxes; I was short $1,000.  I’m wondering if this will be settled.

Sounds like there are many issues posted here and unfortunately many answers will have to wait until the IRS sends the letters of explanation out in a couple of weeks.  I believe in their haste to get the money out some mistakes could have been made  ...  many may have gotten money based on the 2018 return instead of the newly filed 2019 return (that may not have been processed yet especially if you owe the IRS)   which would explain the missing money for the children born in 2019.

Unfortunately I doubt these issues will be corrected now ... most will have to be fixed when filing the 2020 return next year on the reconciliation form/worksheet.   The IRS is so understaffed and over tasked that they have no time to answer the phone ... patience will be needed by all involved.
