Milage deductable

Hi I have 2 jobs one of them gave me W2 and the other one gave me 1099-NEC. Since I made more money on W2 can I deduct mileages from my W2? Or can I deduct from both job?

1. You can't deduct mileage for your W-2 job.

Up to tax year 2017, job-related expenses were deductible as an itemized deduction subject to the 2% of AGI floor.

Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the itemized deductions for job-related expenses subject to the 2% of AGI floor are suspended for expenses incurred after December 31, 2017 through 2025.

Therefore, your mileage as an employee is no longer deductible for tax year 2018.

2. Mileage for your 1099-NEC work can be deducted, but remember commuting mileage is never deductible.
