my exwife did the income tax papers i donr know who with or if we even recieved any money and she wont tell me

You can check your online account with the IRS to see if your SSN was used for a tax return. Neither we nor the IRS will be able to tell you what software your ex-spouse used.

even if she completed the tax papers with some unknown firm, if she filed JOINT, that firm was required to obtain your signature prior to filing - otherwise it is tax fraud. As suggested, look at your tax transcript on the IRS website.

Have you contacted your divorce lawyer? they may be able to contact her lawyer and highlight this issue.

was your divorce finalized in 2025? were you married or unmarried on 12/31/25. if unmarried, she should not have filed joint in any event. if your divorce was finalized in 2026, then in 2025 there was the choice of filing MFJ or MFS. If MFJ, she (and the tax pro) needed your signature prior to filing. If MFS, she would have only reported her income - not yours - and you would not be entitled to see her tax return.
