How do I change my address?

Go to this IRS website for a change of address - https://www.irs.gov/faqs/irs-procedures/address-changes

Your mailing address is entered in the My Info or Personal Info section, the first section you see as you started your return.

Note that this is laid out a little bit differently depending on whether you are using the Online or CD/download product, and on which version. 

However, if you look for My Info or Personal Info and enter that section, you should be able to quickly find where you entered your address.

1. Click My Info in the black bar on the left side of your screen.
2. Scroll down to the Mailing Address section and click Edit.  [See Screenshot below.]
3. Enter or change your address on the next screen, Enter your current mailing address.

If you are referring to your address for your economic stimulus payments, see question 39 from the IRS below:

A39. To change your address:

• If you have not filed your 2019 tax return, enter your new address on your tax return when you file. When your tax return is processed, we'll update our records.
• If you have filed your 2019 tax return and you do not receive direct deposit of your refund, your Payment will be mailed to the address we have on file for you. This is generally the address on your most recent tax return or as updated through the United States Postal Service (USPS).
• The change of address must be processed before we schedule your Payment.
