Help!! Turbotax stopped working error message

I realize I might be in the wrong forum but can't figure out where I should post this.  I'm mostly done with my taxes but need to revise an Interest and Dividend amount.  When I click on that section I get an error message "Turbotax has stopped working".  I've tried several times with the same results.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Turbotax.  I'm using Windows 7. I even called the 800 support number and a lady asked me what I expected her to do - she said "I only work here" and hung up on me.  Thank you!

I get to the "is last year's info correct with your children?" Say yes, get a CONGRATULATIONS message, click Next, and the program errors and restarts. So awesome...

Same exact issue. Windows 7 Ultimate edition and the problem started right after installing the most recent update. I tried to "repair" TurboTax, but that process failed. So I reinstalled the application, but I get the same error.

Not everything I try causes a crash. For example, I can change values for certain inputs using the forms view and save the results without a crash.  The bottom line is the program has a problem and I don't have confidence that it's doing my taxes properly when it's crashing all the time.

Did you read this thread which mentions the workaround several times?   The following FAQ outlines the workaround steps that most folks with the Windows 7 crash issue have used:

Still having this issue - anyone found a solution yet?

It was on a Windows computer, after TurboTax update a couple of weeks ago.  Keeps asking for activation code even though taxes half filed and 100% complete.

Your online system is broke. I need a copy of my 2019 taxes so I can buy a home. If this issue is not fixed soon I will no longer do business with intuit or turbo tax.I need it now. Been trying to use the system for 2 weeks and still nothing

It will not update & freezes up .  I have NEVER had a problem before with Turbo Tax.  I have used it for years.  They have downloaded a new one to me 2 times.  I worked on on it.   I am on Windows 10.

Now I can't get in because it will not let me pass the "update" process.  Just won'r respond.

    Did anyone find an answer??

click >start> settings>"update & security">"check for updates".  then install whatever updates are there for windows 10.  Then keep updating windows 10 until there are no updates left.

then go to your computer vendors website if it a dell go to support.dell.com and update all drivers and bios update that apply to you computer.  then try turbotax again and let us know what happens.
