electronic tax rejected

IND-031-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records.

We did not submit electronically last year, does this cause the problem?

    Those who did not E-file last year  (perhaps paper mail-filed late, or perhaps not even processed yet)...or did not file at all....they should try using a zero for last year's AGI when e-filing your 2021 tax return.

    Now it's rejected and says:

     
    IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database.

    ...we filed jointly through the mail last year...
