When you're trying to pay for a State in TurboTax Desktop, you're going to a Billing server.  If you've turned off your anti-virus programs, I would advise closing the program/ reopening, or clicking into some other sections and back, and this should resolve your issue.     @user17706504694

The Deductions topics page may not update the display until you close/re-open the program.  If you went all the way through the section to the 'Summary' page, this doesn't affect your return.   You can look at the Charitable Contributions Summary in TurboTax Desktop in FORMS mode to verify your info.  In TurboTax Online, you can view all your forms and worksheet after you've paid for your return.   @user17705986559

See this TurboTax help article for instructions to download and print a PDF copy of your return.   Did you direct TurboTax to e-file your California return as well as the Federal return?   If you submitted only your Federal return, you would need to wait until it is processed (refund issued or payment processed) before proceeding to e-file California.   There are still some California tax forms that are not yet available. Please see this Forms Availability Website and check the California list.
@th0126  Mine also says as of 2/23/26. I hope that’s good news for us!

You can delete the IP PINS that you entered that are incorrect using the steps listed below.  An IRS Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is a 6-digit number that is assigned to eligible taxpayers to help prevent fraudulent federal income tax returns from being filed using their Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).   If you are using TurboTax Online/Mobile: Go to the IP PIN screen which is under Other Tax Situations.   If you are using TurboTax Desktop: Go to your Federal Taxes tab. Click on Other Tax Situations. Under the heading Other Return Info, select Start or Update next to Identity protection PIN. On the Identity Protection PIN screen, answer Yes. Select Add and enter your correct IP PIN in the space provided. If you need to remove an IP PIN, select the trash icon. Select Continue, then  Select Done.   Click here for How do I add or remove my 6-digit IP PIN? If you have additional questions regarding this, please return to TurboTax Community. We would be happy to help you.

Glad to hear it worked for you! hurray 🙂   It didn't work for me, though, I tried all the things and couldn't get the error message to delete. I ended up upgrading to premium so I could talk to a real human that helped me solve the issue. It took an hour on the phone, but I finally got my taxes filed.

The filing of a deceased taxpayer's final return usually falls to the executor or administrator of the estate, but if neither is named, then the task needs to be taken over by a survivor of the deceased, i.e. yourself.   The final return is filed on the same form that would have been used if the taxpayer were still alive, but "deceased" is written after the taxpayer's name. The deadline to file a final return is the tax filing deadline of the year following the taxpayer's death.   Only income earned between the beginning of the year and the date of death should be reported on the decedents’ final return. Earnings after the date of death are taxable to the beneficiary of the account or to the estate.   When filing the final tax return for the deceased, TurboTax Online will ask whether the return is being filed for someone who has passed away in the My Info section. TurboTax will then report "Deceased" on the return. On the page titled Let's check for some other situations, put a check mark next to I am preparing this return for [Name], who has passed away, and enter the date of death.    For more information, please read this TurboTax article.   I am sorry for your loss.

Agree 100%. I block it because I don’t know who or what it was. Turned out that is what prevented the download.
