Hi  @Mike9241     So based on your detailed responses, it looks like I will be assessed penalty as I did not make a  "timely"  estimated tax payment for first quarter (April 15) .   IRS says it will assess a daily interest so I will send my first quarter ES today.     I under-estimated my 2025 income so I over-compensated in my Roth conversion (and thereby raising my total 2025 income).   Learned from that experience so my 2026 income will be lower than 2025 unless I can find employment (hopefully).     Thank you for taking the time to respond to my inquiry in  detail.  Have a nice weekend!
There are lots of possible reasons for an efile rejection.  Please provide the rejection error code and message.
TURBO Tax programs are great - but your on line service lacks ability to assist even after the work is competed
@ermontano12  Are you using the Canadian version of TurboTax or the US version?

The last update my TurboTax received was April 3, 2025. I am quite sure it has been updated since then. I have stopped and restarted TurboTax. No updates seen. I have run check for updates and it says that my version is up to date.  There is a way to see all the current versions of your TurboTax under About TurboTax. Is there a website where you can compare your version to the latest TurboTax version to ensure it is updating? There should be a way for someone to verify this easily.

I was unemployed in 2025 and was not aware that I should have paid  estimated taxes, which I have learned only after filing my 2025 taxes.   The TurboTax community suggested I put "let IRS assess the penalty fee"  AND advised  I could request First Time Abatement  since I was compliant my three prior years.   Attached Image 1 from the IRS website  showing the IRS penalty amount along with three prior years of compliance.  And for all of the last 30+ years as a taxpayer I never got assessed IRS penalty until tax year 2025.      The FTA abatement Form 843 requires me to enter the Internal Revenue Code section for non-payment of estimated taxes, which I understand should be included in the IRS notice of penalty but I never received one (see IMAGE 2 below - I signed up for online receipt of notices and the IRS notices section is empty).  What would the IRS Code section be in this case?    I have filled out my Form 843  and included a screenshot at the bottom) to request for abatement which I will later print out and mail to the IRS.  Am kindly requesting expert inputs if my entries in the Form 843 Lines 1- 7 are correct, and would appreciate kind inputs on Line 8 (reason for abatement) for better chance of the IRS approving my request for abatement.    Last question - I hope the IRS would not raise the interest on my penalty amount due to my non-payment of penalty while I wait for its response to my Form 483 request?     Really appreciate your thoughtful inputs in advance.       Image 1:  IRS Online shows Penalty    Image 2 - IRS Website Notice and Letters showing no notices (no IRS mail received)          Image 3: FORM 843 (with details filled out)

The "up to 5 days early" offer means it can come anywhere between 1 and 5 days early.  Or it may fail, in which case you won't be charged according to TurboTax.  Some banks do not participate in same-day ACH deposits.   If your refund doesn't come at least 1 day earlier than it would have come if it had come directly from the IRS, then TurboTax says they will not charge the $35.  The clock would start ticking when the IRS has approved and is ready to release your funds as @ xmasbaby0  mentioned above.  So watch the IRS refund tracker tool.  If yours does not arrive at least 1 day early, then you "should" likely be notified by TurboTax.  So if yours does not come at least 1 day early, watch for any emails with info about your $35.     Read more details here:   FAQ:  "Up to 5 days early" offer https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund-advance/turbotaxs-five-days-e...

Intuit support, you can not reproduce it in house because you probably has state component preinstalled by default. You can only reproduce it by 1) do transfer option with Federal without the state component, 2) start the state return. You shall see the state data was never transferred because there was no state component to accept the state transfer at stage 1, so in stage 2 we only get transfer from Federal return to state return, no prior state to current state return anymore. It does not to do with any diagnostic data, but the stage of software itself.

"Five days early" did not mean you get your refund in five days.  If you expected your refund in five days after e-filing, you misunderstood.     "5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your federal refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site.   If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.   You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site. You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds
