If you would like TurboTax to prepare your quarterly estimates for 2026, go to Other Tax Situations, then select Form W-4 and Estimated Taxes. Select Estimates rather than W-4, then answer the questions that follow.
Since the Estimates method under Other Tax Situations doesn't specifically include a screen for every type of income, such as pension income and withholding, you can add more income items in the Wages screen, label them as needed, and enter the amount you expect to receive in 2026 as well as the amount of taxes you will have withheld.
See this TurboTax tips article for more information.
You may send estimated tax payments to the IRS with Form 1040-ES by mail, or you can pay online, by phone or from your mobile device using the IRS2Go app. You can also make your estimated tax payments through your online account, where you can see your payment history and other tax records. Go to IRS.gov/account.

No, you don't add your dependents W-2 on your tax return. Your dependent will have to file their own tax return if they meet the filing requirements or file to receive a refund. When your employer adds tips to box 1 of your W-2 and didn’t list them in box 7 or 14, you will have to determine your tips. Make sure that the amount matches the amount that you reported to your employer.
Enter your W-2 under Wages & Income Section
Check the box next to Tips include in box 1 of my W-2, but not in boxes 7 or 14
TurboTax will ask you questions about your tips and calculate the deduction.
Refer to the TurboTax article How do I enter tips in TurboTax online? - tips in Box 1 (with wages) but not listed in Box 7 or 14 for more information.

@ johnsongray asked: "My 2024 is saved on my computer. I need to have relevant info tranferred to this year form. This has been automatic in previous year but not now." It won't transfer automatically if prepared in different platforms. What product did you use for 2024--Online TurboTax or desktop software? What product are you using for 2025--Online TurboTax or desktop software? So do you have the *.tax2024 data file on your computer and know its location? If so, if you are now using Online TurboTax, we can tell you how to transfer the desktop file into a 2025 online return (if that's what you are using.) Underneath your question there is a product tag that says "TurboTax Online." Is that the correct indication for your 2025 return product?

If you use the Estimates interview section under Other Tax Situations and you choose to use Estimates rather than a W-4, TurboTax will allow you to choose the correct filing status for 2026 and estimate your income and deductions for the year.
Go to the Other Tax Situations section summary screen. Scroll down until you see Form W-4 and Estimated Taxes and select Start or Revisit, choose Estimates instead of W-4, then answer the questions.
See this help article for more information.

I have a similar but slightly different problem to what I have read in your Q&A comment section regarding the 1099G form - “where do I put it?” Note: my 1099G says right at the top in large font “This is not a bill or a notice of refund.” The situation is I didn’t have all the right information to do my taxes last year by April 15, 2025 so I did an estimate and asked for an extension and I made a large payment to both the federal government and the state of Ohio based on that estimate. Then by October 15, 2025, I had received all the correct information and filed the final version of my taxes for 2024. The tax owed to the federal and state government was significantly less than what I paid with my 2025 extension estimate. I itemized both with my estimate and then with the final submission, but it wouldn’t have been the same amount. It feels inappropriate to put this in the refund box. Based on how this actually went down, I don’t feel that this should be taxable income. Is there another place I can put this in the tool for this scenario? Is it possible to just omit it from the submission? Under the large print at the top of the 1099 G form is a second line of smaller, but still large print, that reads “important tax document – information only”. Thanks.

I received an 1099-B from Etrade that states, "Non-covered Securities with Undetermined Holding Period (Consider Box 5 (noncovered Security) as being checked and Box 12 (basis is reported to the IRS) as not being checked for this section. These transactions should be reported on Form 8949 Part I or Part II with Box C or E checked." I just want to confirm where I should enter these proceeds. The 1099-B says I should report it with Box C, but it seems like B should be selected since I did receive at 1099. See screenshot of form below. Can someone please confirm?

Any email that you receive from TurboTax will be clearly identified as such. Genuine TurboTax emails typically confirm your e-file transmission or state approval/rejection, and come from addresses ending in @intuit.com. Verify legitimacy by checking your e-file status directly on the TurboTax e-file status lookup page or within your tax account. See this help article for information to check your e-file status.
If your state has your email address, it's possible that they may have sent you an email, but it could also be from an impostor. Contact your state tax agency if you have questions about a balance due.

Code Z on your K-1 is for Qualified Business Income (QBI) information attached to your K-1. The Section 199A deduction (also called the QBI deduction) allows many small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their business income from their taxes.
How to enter this in TurboTax
Enter your K-1 as you normally would. When you get to the Box 20 (or 17) screen, select Code Z.
Leave the amount blank in the box and click Continue.
TurboTax will eventually reach a screen that says: "We need some information about your 199A income."
Check the boxes that match the descriptions on your K-1's supplemental statement (usually "Ordinary Business Income").
A new screen will appear with boxes for Wages and UBIA. Type the numbers from your K-1 attachment here.
