Thank you for the quick response. Is there a way to use the same license online that has already been activated on the desktop version? There have been no returns filed under this license yet.

I have the same problem. Every year turbo tax  seems to get locked up on some "final check". Now it is demanding royalty income, which I don't have any. Just because I entered 1099-Misc info. I entered 0 no go, I entered 1, same thing. I also tried deleting the forms as the other NON-turbo tax user suggested. Not an insult to the user but I think it is clear from this forum how much turbo tax cares about it's users. Problem still exists. This problem made me late on filing so I had to file an extension.    They are saying they won't efile for me due to this error.

If you want to make changes or add a document to a tax return that has already been filed and accepted by the taxing agency, you should follow these guidelines.  You must first wait until the initial return is completely processed.  You will have to use the same TurboTax account that you used for the original tax return.  Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return.   The refund calculator will start new at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due  Only make changes to the areas of your return that need to be corrected.  You have three years from the date you filed your return or two years after you paid the tax due (whichever is later) to file an amendment  Select your product below and follow the instructions.  Amend TurboTax Online  Amend TurboTax CD/Download

The IRS/States is currently processing a high volume of e-filed returns, so it can take several days for your payments to go through.  The IRS/States may debit the payment after the deadline. Also, it can take the banks another few days to post the debit to your account. As long as you filed you return or extension on or before April 15, 2026, and you selected April 15, 2026, or earlier as your payment date, you won't get penalized for late payment. If you don't see the debit in your bank account 7–10 days after their return has been accepted,  call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 888-353-4537 or contact your state tax agency.   How do I contact my state Department of Revenue?

Here's how you can fix it:  Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button. Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.    Note: Not all rejections will have explicit guides to fix the information. You’ll need to navigate to the program area to address the cause of the rejection.    Time-saving Tip: If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.    Additional reject instruction here.

Here are two FAQs to help: What if I'm having trouble with my filing verification code? and How do I get a verification code if the email address is wrong?   You can change the email address associated with your account through your account settings.   Intuit uses a single sign in system for all Intuit products, so changing it here will also update it for any other Intuit products you use, such as QuickBooks or Credit Karma.   To Change Your Email Address: Select Intuit Account located in the lower-left corner of your screen (near the Sign Out button). On the Account Manager page, select the Sign in & security menu. Select the Email address section. Enter your new email address and then enter it again to confirm. Enter your current password when prompted to verify the change. Select Save. Check your new email inbox for a verification link from Intuit and click it to finalize the update. If you can't sign in at all, you can go to the Intuit Account Recovery page. This requires you to upload a photo of a government-issued ID to verify your identity.

@jamis8399    Sorry...too late.  It had to be filed before the 15 April Deadline.   Just get yours done and filed as soon as you can.   There won't be a penalty if you are getting a refund, but if you owe more, then interest will accrue the longer you delay.   States vary on late filings since some states even have a later deadline.
