Dos anyone at TT have a resolution for the glitch where Part II of for 7203 will not save any inputted numbers. I am having the exact same issue trying to get the Debt Basis figures to save when navigating away from the screen and this is costing a lot of wasted time re-entering over and over again.

I've found nothing in IRS Pub. 590-B that identifies any circumstances under which there is tax due on a Roth IRA distribution under the above circumstances. See Figure 2-1 in particular.

Tech team looking into this? Are they blind? Its still bad and arguably WORSE now. Entering a 1099-cons using the interview for an existing account from previous years is INFURIATING. Just goes into a mindless loop without entering anything except for making NEW accounts without EVER entering data into the chosen existing account. Forms mode MUST be used to exit the mindless looping and complete the entry of the data. Aaaaaaaargh! Please FIRE the "Tech Team" and the leadership that oversees the architecture, development and testing of this illogical mess.

Turbotax generated the entire tax return (68 pages in my case), in part II Explanation of Changes I typed "Didn't include Form 8606 with original return". I just printed the 1040-X and Form 8606, signed the 1040-X, put them in an envelope, mailed it off on April 15th 2025 and I have heard nothing so I guess I did it right. Hope that helps...

I only have income from retirement and Social Security. I also used my mortgage interest and taxes. My adult son didn't work all year so I claimed him for the $500.

I agree with the nearly unanimous outcry that it would be better to return to the older format. In anticipation of the clunky and confusing mess the current software uses, I included extra info in the title box for each of the investment categories for each account. That way I could keep track of everything clearly without having to guess which one had what kinds of dividends/interest/capital gains. Really awkward, but it allowed me to get through it. The deadline is coming quickly, so those of you that are still hashing though it, consider this suggestion if you think it will help you.
