What is the problem you are having with that? Are you not receiving the email verification code, or is the code you get not working? If you are not receiving the email with the code, check your email's spam/junk folder to see if the code is ending up there. If that's not the problem, you can go to your settings in your Intuit Account and may be able to verify your email address there if it's not verified. Or you can change the email address if desired (using the steps below.) Here's how: In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account. Then once in the account choose tab Sign In & Security. See if your email address has a tiny link beside it that says "not verified". If so, click that to verify. Perhaps once you verify it there in the account settings, it won't ask you to verify it again when you are efiling. Or you can change the notifications email address, if desired. If you do, also verify it while you are in the account settings. If after all that, you still can't resolve your issue, here's how to reach TurboTax Support 5AM-9PM Pacific, 7 days/week. FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number? https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number/00/25632 If you use Free Edition and don't have phone support, another way to reach them if you have social media is to direct message a Support agent: https://x.com/TeamTurboTax or https://www.facebook.com/turbotax

KanCare is the Medicaid program for Kansas. It is not a direct part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace. It is jointly funded by federal and state funds. Kansas is one of the states that did not expand their Medicaid program under the ACA to cover all adults with incomes up to 138% of the federal poverty level.

The 1099-C details will not show on the tax return itself. Only the amount of debt cancellation will show on Schedule 1, line 8c. In order to get the details of 1099-C you will need the actual form itself or download a copy of your wage and income transcript and see if the 1099-C information is listed there.
Here's the IRS link where you can go to, to log in to (or create) your IRS account and download your Wage and Income transcript:

I have tried nearly a dozen different times to get TurboTax Desktop Mac 2025 to properly treat a 1099-R related to a Traditional IRA to Roth IRA conversion. In my case, there was no Traditional IRA contribution that we are "back door". This is just choosing to pay taxes on the Traditional IRA now and convert the distribution to Roth. Every time I try the 1099-R import (from Fidelity) or manual entry, I NEVER get prompted to select that the monies are meant for Roth Conversion and a corresponding 8606 get generated. Please help, this is the last issue standing between me and e-Filing!

I considered that but there is not an update in the Apple App Store. I did update the app a couple days prior when it was required and it wasn’t an immediate issue. The issue started a few days later. I’m a bit afraid to uninstall not knowing what app data might be affected. I may finish up my taxes in a browser, and investigate further afterwards.

Key Steps to Correctly Exclude NYS Pension in TurboTax:
1099-R Entry: When entering your 1099-R in the federal section, ensure you accurately identify the payer. If it is a NYS local or state government pension, indicate this, as these are exempt from NYS income tax.
NY State Return Interview: Within the NY return, proceed to the "Adjustments to Federal Income" section.
Identify Pension Type:Select that you received retirement income and ensure the pension is marked as NYS government, public authority, or other exempt source.
$20,000 Exclusion: If you are over 59½, NYS allows a pension and annuity exclusion of up to $20,000. TurboTax should automatically apply this, but you may need to check the "Other Pensions" box if it does not properly calculate.
Review Forms: Verify on your NYS Form IT-201 that the pension amount is not included in the NYS taxable income.

No, you don't need to add each clothing type separately. I use 'Clothing and Household' and give an estimated 'thrift shop value' as one donation item.

I’m using TurboTax Deluxe Desktop 2025 desktop version. I invested in a SAFE that converted into company shares. The company was acquihired and the shares are now worthless. In past TurboTax versions I saw options like “Add More Sales” or a 1099‑B prompt, but in this version I don’t see those screens. How do I correctly enter this as a worthless security in the current Deluxe Desktop software? Should I use the “Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other” section and choose “Enter sales without a 1099‑B”? If so, what exact steps do I follow to record the cost basis and $0 proceeds so it shows up on Form 8949/Schedule D?

If you are logging back into the same account, you should be able to continue your return. What so you see when you log in and go to the Tax Home?

Did you see AmyC's response above? @TestAdmin "IRS Guidelines: An employee who receives state paid medical leave payments must include the amount attributable to the employer portion of contributions in the employee’s gross income." So I personally calculated how much was the employer's contribution, and I reported it and paid taxes on that.

Look for a back-up copy of your 2024 tax file in Documents > TurboTax where TurboTax saves files automatically, even if you directed a 'save as' copy elsewhere. It may have a 'tilde' sign in front of the file name.
If you can open that file, transfer it to 2025. Go to File > Password > Remove Password.
