When you manually enter a 1099-B in TurboTax, editing the form beyond the "Review your sales" section requires navigating within the Investments and Savings section under Federal Taxes > Wages & Income. To view or edit the full details of your manual 1099-B entry: 1. Go to the Federal tab, then Wages & Income. 2. Select Investments and Savings. 3. Find Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B) and choose Revisit or Start. 4. On the summary screen, select the specific investment sale you want to edit. 5. You will return to the detailed screens step-by-step to edit each part of the form, rather than the back button which exits the form. The back button from the review page exits the form editor, so use the list of sales to re-enter the specific details screens you want to change.

If you are married you can not file Single.  What do you want to change From and To?  If you are Married you can only file a Joint return or as Married Filing Separate.  To update  your filing status go to My Info.  Go though the questions.   Pick Married and then it will ask if you want to file together or separately.     How to switch from Joint to Married filing separate https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/small-business-processes/switch-filing-jointly-filing-separately/L3UGzwHa1_US_en_US?uid=lskmcvqs   Here's some things to consider about filing separately……   In the first place you each have to file a separate return, so that's two returns. And if you are using the Online version that means using 2 accounts and paying the fees twice.   Many people think they come out better when filing Married Filing Separate but they are probably doing it wrong. If one person itemizes deductions then the other one must itemize too, even if it's less than the standard deduction, even if it is ZERO!   And there are several credits you can't take when filing separately, like the EITC Earned Income Tax Credit Child Care Credit Educational Deductions and Credits   And contributions to IRA and ROTH IRA are limited when you file MFS.   Also if you file Married Filing Separately up to 85`% of your Social Security becomes taxable right away even with zero other income.   See ……. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/married/help/is-it-better-for-a-married-couple-to-file-jointly-or-separately/00/25590

Hello, both my 1040X and Missouri returns were accepted (the 1040X last night 3-9-26. Now, I'm trying to submit my spouse returns. Her returns had never been accepted, so I thought once mine were accepted, hers would be too. She is married filing separately as well. I followed the instructions that I was given before re-submitting them. Unfortunately, they have been rejected several times. Here is the rejection message I'm getting. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!   rejection message
Please provide the code for the rejection and we can better provide the necessary instruction. The code will tell us exactly why it was rejeccted.

Ok, there are 2 issues here with TurboTax. Using TT Premier on Windows (just in case that's needed).   1:    You get to Other Return Info and enter your PIN from 2024. TT displays error indicating you need a 6 digit IRS PIN. Get 6 digit PIN from IRS, enter PIN, TT is happy, on to next section.    Now at 'File' section. On 'Sign Your Return' page. At Signature area. 3 Lines of data to check or enter: 2025 E-filing PIN; Date of Birth; and Today's Date.   2025 E-filing PIN - displays 2024 5 digit PIN - not 6 digit IRS PIN entered earlier- try to enter IRS PIN and TT errors displaying 'Invalid character or to many characters'.   Now must STOP --> Why is the 2024 PIN being displayed? If I continue to go forward, will TT e-file with wrong PIN? IRS site specifically states to e-file, you need 6 digit PIN. Is the 2024 PIN an internal check for TT and not needed for e-file? Line specifically states 2025 E-filing PIN.  Confusing, yes?   This is yet another perfect example of pure confusion that TurboTax places you in. None of the other answers in E-PIN posts details what is needed or what will happen.  A COMPLETE answer is needed. Not just where to enter IRS PIN.    2:    Driver's License screen: Why do you need to re-enter this data that you entered for the last 4+ years?   Thanks for your time and responses.

Let me correct one thing -- the import brings over my 2024 data (which the online version got when I opened my 2024 return file to start the online 2025 return process).
